Card Game with Burmese Nouns and Verbs/ Adjectives: The participants were supposed to form sentences orally with a Noun card and a Verb card they drew from the two stacks of cards; a fun game for everyone, which made them work on active vocabulary of Burmese as well as Burmese script and grammar. |

Find Someone Who: A communicative activity, where the learners applied the Burmese sentence structures of asking questions that let them learn about each other's habits, hobbies, preferences, past experiences, etc. The learners also enjoyed a lot of exposure to the Burmese of native speakers during this interactive activity. |

Burmese Music Evening
The evening after the Burmese dinner started with a lively Thingyan (Water Festival) song where everyone not only enjoyed the Thingyan beats but also tried to sing along the chorus.
The learners were also introduced to an old-time classic and were encouraged to explore the text which gave them some expressions and ideas about the Myanmar traditional weaving industry and the rural life and traditions in the olden days.

Time to relax and to socialize
There was always time for all the participants to have free and relaxed conversations to socialize with each other. They also had a great opportunity to have small talks with the Burmese native speakers and to find out more about the culture of Myanmar people. There was a period when the learners were introduced to various Myanmar handicrafts, and had a lot of fun with a game of Myanmar traditional cane ball - 'Chin Lone'. |

The Programme
